Biography
Caroline Lundblad is a Swedish choreographer and dancer. Lundblad was educated in ballet and contemporary dance at Bachelor of Arts in Dance Theatre, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London, England. After her education in London she did further training for dancer and actor Min Tanaka in Japan 2002, 2003 and SU-EN Butoh Company in Sweden 2004 -2007 which she also performed with.
In 2008 she started creating her own work and through the years developed her own genre, a ”Scandinavian butoh”, and danced solo internationally under the artist name Frauke.
In 2019 Lundblad choreographed the newly written opera Schlagt sie tot ! at Malmö Opera House in Sweden. She has also worked as an editorial model for Harper’s Bazaar Taiwan.
Currently Lundblad is in an artistic development and has deepen her research and training within Noh Theatre at Oe Nohgakudou in Kyoto under the guidance of Noh Master Oe Nobuyuki. Her new work is developed from these new influences.
The latest work the performance Pearl was presented in 17 cities across Sweden on a tour with The National Swedish Touring Theatre /Riksteatern February - March 2024
